SYNOPSIS

In this marvelously screwball comedy, a British-Indian family is ecstatic over the impending
marriage of the son Jimi, there's just one problem, his boyfriend, Jack.

REVIEW

While we aren't big fans of comparing films, Chicken Tikka Masala is a more authentic Touch
of Pink, a big hit last year. It's celebration time at the Chopra family in suburban London,
and this middle-class British-Indian family has lots to celebrate. Not only is their son Jimi
set to graduate medical school, he's to marry Simran, his arranged bride fresh from India.
She's perfect in the eyes of the family, but the trouble is that Jack is Jimi's true love. Jimi
has been living in the closet for years. . .and the door is suddenly stretching very thin. Jimi
is aghast that when he tells his grandmother that he thinks Simran is simply nice, the
marriage is set. He can't break his family's heart, but what to do about Jack? The wedding
date is set, and when somehow the family becomes convinced that Jimi is the father of an
eight-year-old girl, all hell breaks loose. Jack can't take any more of this craziness and now
Jimi's family thinks they have a new grandchild! Will the wedding happen? Will Jimi get Jack
back? And what about the mysterious child?
