| SYNOPSIS- ANONYMOUS Todd Verow's (Frisk) sexually graphic new film is the story of a lonely gay man who seeks solace and pleasure in anonymous sex. Warning: There is adult content including nudity, oral penetration and ejaculation in this film! You must be over 21 to purchase. REVIEW This challenging, yet highly erotic film opens with sex on its mind and closes the same way. Is it loving, warm cuddly sex? No, it's throw a guy down on the floor and f--k him without a rubber sex -- sex in men's room stalls – masturbate in the office sex. It's sex that our protagonist comes to regret later -- or maybe he doesn't. Todd (filmmaker Todd Verow) has been in a boring, safe relationship with John (Dustin Schell) for 5 years. They met when Todd was looking for a roommate and he ended up moving right into the bedroom. Todd is the box office manager of a movie theater at night while John works during the day. On the sly, Todd prowls public bathrooms and the internet looking for anonymous sex. One night John catches Todd having sex in the bathroom of the movie theater and there is a violent confrontation. If you are familiar with Todd Verow's coarse, guerilla-style filmmaking, you won't be shocked at all by the changing lighting and treatments. Anonymous is a stark film that is more than redeemed by the questions posed and, we hate to admit it, the high level of nudity and sex. Scott Cranin |
