SYNOPSIS

A delirious Greek soap opera about a family pitted against each other in a bid for power
and money. A young stud, involved in a sexual relationship with an older man, becomes a
blackmailed pawn in the family’s scheming.

REVIEW

Mix the duplicitous family shenanigans of “Dynasty” with some Almodóvarian excess, add a
hunky gay boy with a taste for older men, a mom with a thirst for power, a helpless dad
chained to an oxygen tank, and sprinkle Greek spices generously and you may get an idea
of what is in store for you in this deliciously entertaining potboiler. A perfectly happy family
— mom, dad, son and two daughters — are driving home when they get involved in a
terrible accident. Fast-forward several years later to find the family in tatters: one
daughter is dead, the other is disfigured; dad is in a vegetative state; the son is a pouting,
calculating dark-haired slut and mom is a scheming shrew. All it takes is a shady real
estate deal to bring their familial claws out. A plot of family land sold under mysterious
circumstances becomes the catalyst for an explosion of greed and a grasp at hungered-for
power. The 20-year-old son Christos' secret gay affair with a much older government
official makes for a perfect blackmail scheme to alter the real estate deal to other family
members' advantage, but the youth has other plans in store for his loving family! People
get what they deserve and more in this wicked little Greek soap opera. (Greek with English
subtitles)
