REVIEW
Claudio (Trabacchi) is a handsome,
anal-compulsive, Italian banker whose
life has always been one of routine.
HIV-positive, he takes his daily
medications, goes to the gym, checks
up on his sister (Rametta), and
prepares to move to Milan with his
boyfriend Dario (Bechini). Always one
to keep everything under control,
Claudio's life changes dramatically
when he connects with the irresistible
Andrea (Salerno), a gorgeous blonde
waiter. Claudio's memory of his
previous encounter with Andrea is so
potent it "stayed inside of him for days."

As these two men begin a hot and
heavy affair, filled with passionate
kissing and unsafe sex, Andrea admits
that he has little concern about
Claudio's HIV status. This unrestricted
love liberates the cautious Claudio,
and soon he forsakes his job, his
relationship with Dario, and his meds
for the new life Andrea offers him --
one that exists without fear.

Director Laura Muscardin has crafted
a heartfelt and affecting character
study, and she has coaxed a
remarkable performance from
Trabacchi. Days is an absorbing,
uplifting drama about the vulnerability
of life and the incredible power of love.
